NOW EXPATS CAN USE GOVT HOSPITALS IN KSA

Good news for Expatriates in Saudi Arabia! Government hospital to provide services to expats living in Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Health has instructed all government hospitals under the ministry to provide treatment for expats. However, in order to receive treatment, expats must pay the pre-determined fee as well as follow the hospital’s rules and regulations. Even with the fees, the hospital should provide lower cost for medical care.
An official reported that the Ministry of Health decided to pass these instructions due to the limited number of private hospitals in rural areas. This will give fair access to medical facilities for expats that live in these areas. In addition, emergency cases cannot be rejected by government health centers.
The official also stated that this decision was based on several aggregating factors. The decision to allow expats to use government hospitals has long been awaited. Generally, government run hospitals provide better facilities at much lower prices.
