Online Abshir Sim Verification and Registeration Guide

Following the instructions of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, The National Information Center through its portal Abshir has started verification of SIM cards. Before this long cues could be seen at each telecom service providers outlet. Hundreds of people lined up to verify their SIMs by providing their fingerprints. Now you can do so through your MOI Abshir account. WTHIQ is a new service offered which will allow Abshir Sim Verification. Below you can read the step to step guide to register your SIM card which can be either Voice or DATA.

Tariq Al-Shidi, director of the ministry's Noational Information Center said, “Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, the deputy premier and interior minister, had directed the center to find a mechanism that would enable the citizens and expatriates document the ownership of their mobile phones whether it is post-paid or pre-paid.”

Complete Process Abshir Sim Verification Through WTHIQ

1. Log in to your account, click here: Abshir Account.
2. Go to E-Serivces, at the bottom you will See a new Tab "SIM Card Authentication".
3. Click "Wthiq" Sim Card Authentication.
4. Carefully read all the requirements. Then Click "Authenticate voice and data Sim Card".
5. Choose Type of Sim Card (Voice or DATA).
6. Enter the Mobile #.
7. Select the Operator from the drop down (STC, Mobily, Zain, Virgin, Lebara).
8. Tick the Button, "I accept the terms and conditions."
9. Click "Send Authentication Request".
10. On the next screen, Verify that all information and click "Confirm authentication request."
11. You will receive a verifcation SMS, enter the Code in SMS and click "Send Authentication Request."
12. You will recieve a confirmation message, " Your authentication request for the mobile number 0XXXXXXXXX submitted to your mobile service provider. You will be informed by SMS from the service provider when the authentication process is completed."
13. Done!

You can register new and old sims through this service!
